My painful summer

Last summer I went to Turkey to represent the National Puerto Rico basketball team of my age. This trip was based on a 15 day tournament and looser goes home. We were one of the favourites going in, this put even more pressure on us. We won the first five games and on the sixth game, my trip came to an end. On the 4th quarter I went to get a rebound and landed on one of my teammate’s foot. I couldn’t finish the game so after we lost I went to the doctor and my ankle was literally broken. I had to be on a cast for the next two months and on rehabilitation for three months. This accident happened on May and had to be until July on recuperation. This injury is very difficult to overcome because a broken ankle doesn’t recuperate completely and anytime you jump or do anything on that ankle it would hurt. I have to play with an ankle brace for the rest of my basketball career, as you know basketball is my life and this obstacle may be the reason why I don’t get a scholarship. I want to put this injury on the side because it doesn’t matter how much it hurts I will still love basketball. Next year on my senior year I would go to England to play for the Puerto Rico basketball team and hopefully this time I can finish the tournament and win.
